LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers is joining the Federal Trade Commission’s lawsuit against Ticketmaster.

A release from the AG’s Office says Hilgers has joined the FTC’s lawsuit against Ticketmaster and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment.

Previously, Nebraska and Iowa joined a Department of Justice lawsuit against Ticketmaster along with 30 other states in August of 2024.

The FTC’s lawsuit alleges that Ticketmaster violated state and federal laws with deceptive fees, deceptive ticket limit practices, and violations of the BOTS Act .

Hilgers says Ticketmaster has displayed deceptively low ticket prices to customers, only to then put on mandatory fees that can increase the ticket prices by as much as 30%.
