LEBANON, Ore. - A domestic disturbance on Dodge Street led to a tense standoff in Lebanon on Wednesday, according to the Lebanon Police Department.
LPD officials said that officers responded at 9:53 p.m. on Sept. 17 to a call about a fight between a man and a woman. A suspect, identified as 45-year-old Jason Lloyd Knapp, confronted an officer with a knife, forcing the officer to retreat, police said. Authorities said that police relocated the woman to safety. Investigators found that Knapp had started a fire and threatened harm before he fled, prompting a search with K9 units and drones. Knapp returned and threatened to ignite a fire using natural gas, police said. The utility company shut off the gas, and nearby residents were evacuated.
