SELMER, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) announced the rescue of 14 dogs in Tennessee on Thursday.

ARC deployed to Selmer to rescue the dogs following an urgent request from law enforcement.

“The dogs have a history of running loose on roads, and are sheltered in a dirty and cluttered shed,” ARC said. “They need medical, physical, and social care today, along with a new beginning.”

The department said that its officers are often faced with animal control issues that are hard to find solutions for without more resources.
