LANE COUNTY, Ore. - The Rivers to Ridges Partnership is gearing up to conduct prescribed burns throughout Lane County this fall that aim to prevent wildfires and provide training for first responders, according to Rivers to Ridges Partnership staff.

Rivers to Ridges Partnership officials said the burns will reduce flammable vegetation and help manage wildland fires. They also hold cultural and ecological significance, offering educational opportunities for the community.

Prescribed burns are planned for several areas, including Coburg Hills, Mt. Pisgah, Dorris Ranch, and Willow Creek Preserve. The exact dates depend on weather conditions and resources, with activities expected through October.
