This weekend is the last chance you'll have to get tickets for the Trailblazer Gala happening at the Walker County Civic Center on Saturday, October 11.

The county is celebrating 60 years of racial integration at the event, which will honor those who blazed the trail and opened the door for other African Americans in schools.

Sponsored by the Walker County African American Historical and Alumni Association , the event will have awards, dinner, and dancing.

Doors open at 3:30pm, and the celebration lasts until 8:00pm.
