BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A professional Stevie Wonder impersonator accused of grabbing a young girl at a Bakersfield convenience store has been ordered committed to a mental health hospital for up to two years while efforts are made to restore him to competency.

A Superior Court judge on Thursday also determined the impersonator, Tino Ibach, was unable to make decisions regarding antipsychotic medication, and ordered the hospital to administer medically appropriate drugs, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Ibach, 54, was found incompetent to stand trial last month and the criminal case against him was suspended.

On June 30, police were called to a report of inappropriate contact with a child at a convenience store in the 3600 block of Stockdale Highway.
