Mesa police officers were involved in a shooting early Thursday morning at a home near the 900 block of South Pasadena where a 33-year-old man was injured, authorities said.

No officers were injured, police said.

The suspect was treated at the scene, was taken to a hospital, is stable and is expected to survive, police said.

Officers responded just after midnight Sept. 18, to a family fight call at a home.

The suspect came out of the home when officers arrived “and immediately pointed a gun at both officers. This is when the officer-involved shooting occurred,” according to a Mesa Police Department release.

Two officers fired their weapons during the incident, police said.
