SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A 4-year-old is reported to be in critical condition following an afternoon motorbiking incident in Shreveport.

Police say a 21-year-old man was holding the 4-year-old in their lap while riding a moped when a vehicle struck them.

Both the bike driver and the child were hospitalized with serious injuries.

The child's injuries are described as potentially life-threatening.

Currently, there is no update regarding the condition of the people in the vehicle.
