EUGENE, Ore. - A student walkout is planned for Friday afternoon after a teacher was allegedly dismissed from Marist Catholic High School for making comments about slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk in the classroom.
According to a notice sent to parents by the school's principal, Bob Fraley, Jack Kiesiewetter will no longer be teaching at the school. Kiesiewetter is the school's theology teacher and track and field coach according to the school's website. Fraley said Kiesiewetter's classes will be led by a substitute teacher and a plan will be in place for someone to cover his class for the rest of the school year.
