A drug dealing suspect from Birmingham has been charged with a string of offences after a huge haul of hidden drugs were uncovered at a house.

West Midlands Police officers carried out an early morning raid at a property in the Alum Rock area of the city on Thursday (September 18).

Inside they discovered large quantities of Class A and B drugs ‘hidden away’ in tubs, boxes and cabinets in different rooms.

Now Asim Akram, 41, of College Road in Saltley has been charged with dealing crack cocaine, heroin, dealing cannabis and ketamine, possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply them, possessing criminal property and possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply them.

Akram was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today.
