BOSTON – A 75-year-old Rhode Island man was sentenced to four years in prison for laundering $35 million from Internet-romance and elderly-fraud schemes, United States Attorney for Massachusetts Leah B. Foley and other law enforcement officials announced Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Craig Clayton , 75, of Cranston, pleaded guilty May 8 in U.S. District Court, Boston, to one count of money laundering conspiracy and one count of obstruction of justice .
