With ground officially broken on a $16.79 million renovation of St. Louis Street, Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson assured the public they will still be able to access the neighborhood as work proceeds for the next two and half years.
“The idea is that this street will be a safe street,” Stimpson said, speaking to reporters and citizens Friday morning at the intersection of North Jefferson and St. Louis streets. “This is a moving project. Just hold on. It will be fine.”
