A 24-year-old on Savannah's Top Ten Most Wanted was indicted federally for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Ra'Quavius Rawls was at a local gas station on July 24, 2024, when Savannah Police Department officers received an anonymous tip of his location. When Rawls left the gas station in the passenger seat of a vehicle, officers conducted a traffic stop and found a firearm in the passenger side glove box.

"Removing illegally possessed firearms from convicted felons plays a key role in reducing violent crime in our communities," Margaret Heap, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, said in a press release.

The case is being investigated by SPD and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
