A western Wisconsin man is in custody after he allegedly bit, scratched and kicked multiple officers and a nurse during his arrest.
According to the La Crosse Police Department, officers were called to the 3200 block of Ebner Coulee at around 10 p.m. Wednesday on a report that a man had violated a no-contact order with his ex-girlfriend.
Officers attempted to contact the man at the scene, but he ran into a wooded area behind the home. The man resisted arrest, purposely falling on the ground and forcefully kicking, scratching and biting two officers, according to the department.
The man was then taken to a nearby hospital, where he scratched a nurse and another officer. He also reportedly spit in a sergeant’s face before he was taken to jail.
