NEW ORLEANS ( WVUE /Gray News) - New Orleans police investigate after a 10-year-old boy was reportedly kidnapped at gunpoint on Thursday.

The boy’s mother said that her son was walking home from the bus stop with his younger brother that afternoon when two men in ski masks and dressed in black grabbed him on Kraft Place.

She said the men then stuffed a sock in his mouth and took him to an abandoned home nearby.

The 10-year-old said the men held him at gunpoint. But he kicked down a door and took off when they briefly walked away.

According to the boy, another child, who attends a different school, was also inside the house. They escaped as well.

The boy ran home wearing only his underwear, his mother said.
