BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A development project on 122 acres of the Brooklyn waterfront is back in the news.

Plans for the Brooklyn Marine Terminal in Red Hook include maritime upgrades, open space, and housing.

A task force meeting is scheduled for Monday. The 28-member task force of elected officials, community members, and industry stakeholders has been reviewing a vision plan for about a year, including public sessions.

Final votes were delayed several times earlier this summer. It requires a two-thirds vote of approval to move the vision plan ahead.

Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso is on the task force. He says a new component has been added, and the maritime industry will help shape new ideas for the working waterfront.
