SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The number 24 fighting Irish will be hosting Purdue on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The last meeting was a statement game for Notre Dame, rolling to their largest ever win over Purdue 66 to 7.
The Irish also carry a seven-game winning streak against the Boilermakers into this one but this year, the situation is different.
With a current record of 0 and 2, Notre Dame would need ten straight wins to keep playoff hopes alive.
One bright spot-on offense has been wide receiver Malachi Fields. Fields hauled in over 125 yards against Texas A&M last weekend.
Freeman said you can expect to see a lot more from Fields this season.
