BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - We received some much need rain today in parts of the area. We even tracked a few strong storms earlier with reports of damage from fallen trees and power outages.

THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Tonight will be mostly dry with lows in the upper 60s under a partly cloudy sky. We are kicking off the final official weekend of summer 2025, and the weather will be in full summer mode. Highs tomorrow are expected to reach the low to mid 90s so plan to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen. We will also have a chance for a few isolated pop-up showers and storms by the late afternoon and early evenings.
