TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Members of the Tucson community came together Friday evening to host a candlelight vigil outside of the ICE field office.
The goal was to demand justice for and remember those who have been detained and deported by ICE, while doing it peacefully and lawfully.
The peaceful event was in stark contrast to an anti-ICE protest held at the same spot in June. In that one, several people were arrested after some of the crowd turned violent, threw rocks at law enforcement, and vandalized buildings in the area. In fact, the TPD on Friday announced two new arrests in the case -- 46-year-old Joe Michael Quarnberg and 34-year-old Kevin Clarke Silary.
