BRISTOL, Va. — Tri-Cities Airport is growing, but that growth comes with challenges, according to airport President and CEO Gene Cossey.

Speaking Tuesday to the Rotary Club of Bristol TN/VA, Cossey talked about a number of projects now underway at the airport, including parking improvements, terminal upgrades and efforts to bring in more air service.

“It’s getting more difficult because we’re getting full,” Cossey said. “So we’re doing a lot of projects.”

One of the most visible projects passengers will see is a major expansion and upgrade of the airport’s parking lots. Cossey acknowledged frustrations with parking, but said improvements will provide more spaces and better technology once work is complete.
