Students in West Branch High School’s construction trades program are raffling off a building they constructed as part of their curriculum.
The students in the school’s Career Connections Apprenticeship Program built a 10-by-12 storage shed on which they applied their skills in areas such as wall construction, roofing, foundation layout, trim carpentry, soffit and fascia installation, rafter layout, sheathing and joist layout.
Upon completion of the third-year course, students earn career connections certification, 12 alternative graduation credits, and state certification as apprentice carpenters.
Members of the public can purchase tickets for a chance to win the shed. Tickets are $20 each, and all proceeds will support future students in the program.
Tickets can be purchased at home
