OPP investigating homicide after 25-year-old man found dead in remote area near Torrance, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a homicide after a 25-year-old man was found dead in a remote area near Torrance, Ont. on Monday.

Bracebrige OPP officers responded to reports of a dead man being discovered in a remote area near Hardy Lake Road shortly after noon on Monday, provincial police said in an emailed statement.

Police identified the victim as Tyler Penasse from West Nipissing, Ont., about 60 kilometres east of Sudbury.

The death is being treated as a homicide after a post-mortem was conducted in Toronto on Wednesday, OPP spokesperson Ashley Taylor said in the email.
