HOUSTON (CW39) — The Houston Humane Society is launching a special adoption event this week get their largest pups find forever homes.

Starting Sunday, September 21 through Saturday, September 27, adoption fees will be waived for all dogs weighing 40 pounds or more during the shelter’s “Go Big & Go Home” campaign.

Organizers said that the goal is to get more of their full-sized dogs into permanent homes, whether you’re looking for a jogging partner, a loyal snuggler, or a protective best friend.

Adoption hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The shelter is located at 14700 Almeda Road, Houston, TX 77053.
