Lila Bonner loved TCU, her dad's alma mater. But she also loved to don that SMU red and blue-- her mom's school.

It's why, ahead of Saturday's Iron Skillet showdown, both the Horned Frogs and Mustangs came together to ask fans "to pause and honor" Lila.

Lila was one of the 27 girls who died at Camp Mystic during the July 4th floods. Their families call them Heaven's 27, starting a fund in their honor.

"Lila was the heart of a 'house divided,'" they wrote in a social media post . "Red and blue made purple in Lila's world, uniting us all in her memory."

The post also encouraged fans to support Lila's Light, the animal rescue foundation in her name.
