Justin Hagenman took the mound for Syracuse in their penultimate game of the year and was quite solid, which hasn’t been the case for most of the season; the right-hander had a 7.52 ERA in 46.2 innings as a starter and a 3.48 ERA in 41.1 innings as a reliever coming into this game. Syracuse gave him the lead in the third inning on a three-run Luis De Los Santos homer and he held it down, allowing an unearned run to score in the fourth. The IronPigs made the game tighter with a Payton Henry solo homer in the sixth and then took the league in the eighth after Austin Warren let a ton of traffic on the basepaths and allowed three more runs to score.
