NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — A man is facing charges related to a shooting incident that injured two people Saturday night at a local bar in Norwich, police said.
Norwich officers responded to Pistol Pete’s Bar and Grill at 29 Stonington Road at 11:30 p.m. for a shots fired incident. Upon arrival, officers found two victims suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Both victims were evaluated and treated at William W. Backus Hospital.
At the scene, police located a firearm and other evidence. They say Keith Nival, 44, of Norwich, was arrested for his involvement in the incident.
Nival’s charges include: • Criminal attempt to commit assault in the first degree • Criminal possession of a firearm • Unlawful discharge of a firearm • Reckless endangerment in the first degree
