It was busier than ever on a barricaded section of Lyndoch Street in Corunna Saturday.

“It’s more (attendance) than we’ve had in the past,” said Corunna Street Festival organizer Tracy Kingston, around noon, as people browsed dozens of vendor tents, listened to live music, watched dancing, tried out games, and enjoyed the sunshine at the third annual event.

In 2024 about 1,000 people turned out, she said.

“Everybody’s happy,” said the Moore Optimist Club president Saturday. “We’re having fun. There’s just so many cool things to do.”

One of the new offerings this year, toy wooden car races on a six-metre track, drew more interest than expected, Kingston said.
