A Prince Edward County artist offered some her artistic techniques at an inaugural conference in Owen Sound celebrating encaustic painting, also known as hot-wax painting.

Susan Wallis, owner of Melt Studio and Gallery in the county, said she was pleased to be invited to share her experiences at the Canadian Encaustic Conference.

While the International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown, Massachusetts has been running for 18 years, this marks the very first time a Canadian edition has been organized.
