The tennis courts at Warren County’s two high schools may get repaired in time for the upcoming season.

But Interim Superintendent John “David” Martin says that the school division will need to replace the courts sooner than later.

Warren County School Board Chairwoman Kristen Pence, Vice Chairwoman Antoinette Funk and members Andrea Lo, Thomas McFadden Jr. and Melanie Salins voted on Wednesday to recommend that the superintendent request for an appropriation from the Board of Supervisors to repair the tennis courts at Warren County High School and Skyline High School.

Courts remain closed for safety concerns, particularly with the numerous surface cracks posing a hazard. Martin said he has wanted to repair or build new courts since he started in the interim superintendent position in t
