BALTIMORE – Ben Rice got a fastball down the middle. He didn’t miss it.

Rice launched a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the 10th inning, lifting the Yankees to a 7-1 victory in their final road game of the regular season on Sunday afternoon at Camden Yards.

It was the second career grand slam for Rice, who turned on a 95.2 mph Keegan Akin fastball, rocketing off his bat at 110.3 mph into the right-center-field seats. It was the first extra-inning grand slam by a Yankee since Josh Donaldson on August 17, 2022, against Tampa Bay.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. tacked on his 31st homer later in the 10th.

The Yanks’ bats had been quiet most of the afternoon. Rice’s sixth-inning single off Kyle Bradish accounted for their only run early, scoring Trent Grisham.
