BALTIMORE – Ben Rice got a fastball down the middle. He didn’t miss it.
Rice launched a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the 10th inning, lifting the Yankees to a 7-1 victory in their final road game of the regular season on Sunday afternoon at Camden Yards.
It was the second career grand slam for Rice, who turned on a 95.2 mph Keegan Akin fastball, rocketing off his bat at 110.3 mph into the right-center-field seats. It was the first extra-inning grand slam by a Yankee since Josh Donaldson on August 17, 2022, against Tampa Bay.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. tacked on his 31st homer later in the 10th.
