Scarborough community members gathered for a group bike ride along Kingston Road Sunday to bring attention to much-needed safer road conditions for cyclists and pedestrians in the area.
The City of Toronto promised safer road improvements for bikers and pedestrians using the Danforth Avenue and Kingston Road corridor, only to delay said promises for years, said a release from Danforth-Kingston 4 All, a group advocating to make those roads safer and more accessible for community members.
Kevin Rupasinghe, a member of the group, says Kingston Road is "dangerous" with several people every year getting injured, and even killed, from walking, biking or driving down the street.
