OWENSBORO, Ky. - A team of women set a world record by flipping a 320-pound tractor tire for 1 mile.

"The team had been training for four months," said a team member before the event.

The event took place at the Daviess County High School track on September 21 and lasted 32 minutes and 54 seconds. The team of 10 women beat the previous coed record of 35 minutes.

"They've just done something that no other women's group has ever done," said their coach Bob O'Brien.

The women, wearing shirts that read "Bring the Boom," are the only all-female team to achieve this feat.

O'Brien told 44News that the coed record still holds because it's a coed team record, but the women's team now has their record beat.
