NEW BEDFORD -- The iconic National Club, once a spot for fishermen to rest after long days at sea, is being reimagined as a modern Mexican restaurant projected to open its doors in November.

Black Whale and Cisco Kitchen + Bar owner Stephen Silverstein is spearheading the transformation of this historic spot, alongside his wife Judy Silverstein, with the goal to bring a contemporary and elevated take on Mexican cuisine to the heart of the city.
