ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - We are in the midst of a pattern shift as rain showers are developing and pushing through Western New York. A more active jet stream throughout the week will result in rain chances nearly every day.

Scattered showers will be possible today to start the week, especially in the Finger Lakes as instability rises. That will mean that any storms that get going could bring some heavy rain and wind gusts. It will not be uniform, and some will be missed by these storms.

A large wave of rain showers will swing through the region overnight into Tuesday. This will bring everyone a few tenths of an inch into Tuesday morning. Temperatures take a dip here and we fall back into the 50s and upper 60s. A few spots get to the lower 70s.
