BOILING SPRINGS, S.C. (WBTV) - A teacher at a South Carolina elementary school was fired after they were accused of spitting on and kicking a student this past week.
Sister-station reported that the incident allegedly happened at Shoally Creek Elementary School in Spartanburg County on Friday, Sept. 19.
After the allegations were made, the county sheriff’s office began investigating, although it was not immediately clear if the teacher was facing any criminal charges.
In the wake of the accusations, Spartanburg County School District 2 told WHNS the teacher was not a district employee and was instead contracted through a third party. A message from the Shoally Creek principal confirmed that the teacher “will not be returning” to the school.
