SPARTANBURG, S.C. —

A Spartanburg County, South Carolina, teen was fatally shot as he sat in his living room by bullets fired from the front yard, according to Spartanburg police.

Police say they were called just before 1 a.m. Saturday to a home on Amherst Drive.

There, they found a 17-year-old unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the victim was sitting in the living room when someone fired several shots from the front yard into the home. The teen was hit at least twice through a window.

The coroner identified the victim as Zion Renaldo Myssiah Jordan.
