GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) - A child who was shot in Greensboro earlier this month is in a coma, according to his family.
Greensboro police say that at 9:40 p.m. on Sept. 2, officers responded to Saint Matthew Court when they were told about an assault.
The boy's family told our sister station WGHP that he was hit in the right side of his head by a bullet.
They don't know how the child was shot, and they are asking for the shooter to turn themselves in.
The boy's brother said his family is heartbroken, and they are praying for a miracle.
No one has been arrested at this time, and Greensboro police have not released suspect information or a motive for the shooting.
