ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Four school buildings have locked down and all Albert Lea students have been brought inside after a potential threat Monday morning.

Albert Lea Area Schools sent the following message to parents and guardians Monday morning:

“This morning law enforcement informed Albert Lea Schools of a potential threat to one of our schools. The threat was legitimate and due to uncertainty in details we immediately asked all schools to bring students inside. We increased law enforcement presence as the investigation continued. From the details we were provided by law enforcement, we had four buildings enter a “Secure” which means lock exterior doors and no outside visitors. We will provide an update as soon as possible.”
