A series of severe thunderstorms made their presence felt in Minnesota on Sunday evening, sparking weather warnings in the Twin Cities.
After a relatively dry end to meteorological summer in Minnesota, the final few days brought several bursts of rain, with the heaviest arriving late Sunday.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued in the Twin Cities, where two-inch hail was reported along with winds of up to 60 mph.
It followed an earlier severe cell in the Woodbury area of the east metro that also brought torrential rain and large hail.
