Time to walk your kids to school again! The annual event returns this week.

Families from Redoubt Elementary, Soldotna Elementary, and Soldotna Montessori are invited to take part in Walk Your Kids to School Day on Friday, September 26. Participants will meet at the Catholic Church on Redoubt Avenue at 8:00 a.m. and walk to school together starting at 8:15.

The event promotes student safety and physical activity, with staff, students, and families walking alongside members of the Soldotna Police Department and Central Emergency Services.

Organizers remind families that all students must be accompanied by an adult, and participants should dress for the weather.

The event is coordinated by Brad Nelson of Safe Kids–Kenai Peninsula, who also serves with Central Peninsula Hospital.
