PERRY, Ga. — The Perry Police Department identified a 22-year-old they say shot a person in Kathleen on Sunday, according to a press release from the Perry Police Department.
They say it happened Sunday at around 7 p.m. in the 100 block of Figston Run.
When officer's arrived at the scene, they found a victim with a gunshot wound. Paramedics were sent to the scene and took the victim to get medical care.
On Monday morning, the Perry Police Department says 22-year-old Alec Bloodworth was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The police department says that they believe the shooting was a case of domestic violence, which they say suggests there are no on-going risk to the public.
