BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- In a world where rhythm rules and riffs reign supreme, only the boldest bands will rise. The Boom Box Classic is taking over the Bluff this Friday.

The Human Jukebox will meet the Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South on the field for a battle of the bands. Band Director Kedric Taylor said it's going to be an electric performance.

"When you think about bands, and you think about performing, and you're thinking about next-level musicianship, you're definitely thinking about this match-up," said Taylor.

As Taylor says confidently, Southern University is the best band in the world, but he's still looking forward to great competition.
