INDIANAPOLIS -- Later this month, an Indiana University Indianapolis tradition is returning to the canal downtown.

The 17th annual IU Indianapolis Regatta is taking place on the downtown canal at 12 p.m. on Saturday.

According to its website, the annual IU Indianapolis Regatta is a day of fun and friendly competition at one of the city's most beloved landmarks.

On Monday, Vibha Kamath and Anish Bhawal, two organizers of the event, joined the FOX59 Morning News to talk about the event, what makes this campus tradition different and how members of the public are able to get involved.
