FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 20-year-old Fort Wayne man was sentenced Monday to more than a century in prison in a shooting that left an 18-year-old dead and his younger brother seriously hurt in 2023.
Terrance Sanders is the first of four men to be tried in the shooting that killed 18-year-old Ayvion Antoine Romel Parker . Christopher Recht, 21, 18-year-old Lamont Martin and 22-year-old Corrion Parks are also facing felony charges in the case and are awaiting trial.
Sanders, who a jury found guilty on all counts during an August trial, was initially charged with murder, attempted murder, battery, criminal organization activity with a firearm and a sentencing enhancement for using a gun in the slaying.
Allen Superior Court Judge David Zent sentenced Sanders to 115 years.
