CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Nominations are open for the West Texas A&M University contest to award the region's top educators.

According to WT officials, WT Football and the Education Credit Union will name their 2025 Educators of the Year during Educators Night at the Nov. 1 game against Texas A&M-Kingsville. Officials added that game time is at 4 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium on WT’s Canyon campus.

WT officials stated the award will recognize educators from the Texas Panhandle who have made an impact on their students' lives and have advanced the field of education through leadership, vision, and advocacy. The number of honorees will depend on the number of nominations received.
