FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man was arrested Thursday following a hate crime investigation in Fairfield, police said.

Police said John Kuhn, 68, was allegedly connected to antisemetic vandalism at several locations in August in Fairfield, totaling approximately $3,000 in damage.

Multiple locations were allegedly defaced with antisemetic graffiti.

Kuhn was charged with the following: • Three counts of third-degree intimidation based on bigotry or bias • First-degree criminal mischief • Three counts of second-degree criminal mischief

He was assessed a $30,000 bond and appeared in court on Thursday.

Police said Kuhn's actions were likely motivated by current events taking place in Israel and Palestine.
