VERSAILLES, Mo. — Versailles police are searching for the suspect in a shooting that occurred at 7:34 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of South Burke.

A news release from the police department says officers found an unconscious woman with a head injury upon arrival to the scene. The woman is in critical condition at an area hospital.

Police say the incident was personal and there is no threat to the public. The suspect was reportedly wearing a pink hoodie, gloves, a mask and sunglasses. Anyone with information or who was in the vicinity of the incident should contact the police department at 573-539-2580.
