LONGS, S.C. (WBTW) -- Four vehicles were hit by gunfire during an apparent gunfight on Sunday night in the Longs area, according to an Horry County police report.
Officers responded to Bombing Range Road and Dewitt Road for shots being fired at about 9:30 p.m., the report shows. A witness claimed to have heard more than 27 rounds being fired.
The officers found about 25 shell casings that ranged from a 40 caliber, a 7.62 caliber and a 45 caliber scattered about a half-mile down the road, according to the report. Officers think two vehicles got into a gunfight heading toward Highway 90 and during it, three vehicles that were not involved were struck on Bombing Range Road.
Another vehicle was also struck and a projectile was recovered from Jams Bellamy Circle, the report said. No suspect
