RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - My Hometown Heroes ’ mission is to help bridge the gap between cancer and college, one scholarship at a time.
Founder and executive director, Danny Heinsohn, stopped by Morning Break to invite people to their 7th annual Heroes Night Out celebration. Since 2019, this initiative has yielded over $125,000 in scholarships awarded to college-bound cancers survivors.
The fundraiser takes place Thursday, Sept. 25 at the Wilbur D. May Center. Tickets include an evening of delicious eats with your event passport with incredible catering by Cherry Bomb Catering, Sushi Pier, Fig Tree Catering and Daddy’s Tacos.
