STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) announced a $100,000 donation on Saturday to Georgia Southern University that will provide scholarships for local students.
The scholarships will be awarded over four years, starting in 2025, to students from Bulloch, Effingham, Bryan or Chatham counties who are pursuing a degree in the Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Computing.
The $100k gift also symbolizes the more than 100 Georgia Southern alumni employed at HMGMA.
